Pure Cold Start and full rev exhaust SOUND footage of the recently revealed 2016 / 2017 Porsche 911 “Facelift” (991.2) now featuring a 3.0 Biturbo Flat-Six instead of the previous 3.8 naturally aspirated engine. Engine specs are 420 hp and 500 Nm, through 4WD and a 7-speed PDK. Many people have argued that adding a Turbo would kill the pure and nostalgic noise with those modern “Carrera Turbos”, but I think this video proofs that everything is on the bright side! While the raw tone in low revs might be a bit quieter than in the previous model there is a deep and hollow sound in the mids and highs which is equally thrilling as before. In addition to that you get these marvelous Turbo whistles and some even nicer pops & crackles….I love it!
