Surprisingly Fast Autobahn acceleration test with the recently facelifted BMW 120d delivering 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque. In this particular car power goes through the “Sport-Automatic” and of course the rear-wheels. Honestly, I was not expecting the car to accelerate this good. As the sport-automatic has a launch control mode and the balance between grip and slip must have been perfect we achieved a 0.5 sec. compared to what BMW claims on their website. Not only from an objective measurement but also from a subjective feel the car feels very punchy, the engines revs very sporty for a Diesel.
